Board of Directors
The following are the current board members of the Utah
Chapter of the USGBC:
Allan Hartman
Allan Hartman, LEED AP, has over 18 years experience working
in the construction industry, involving all aspects and
phases of construction management. Allan has worked locally
for Okland Construction Company for the past 13 years and is
currently serving as a Project Director, Preconstruction
Manager, and Sustainability Coordinator. For the past
several years Allan’s focus has been on promoting Okland’s
green building efforts including employee education, as well
as assisting in sustainable construction projects pursuing
LEED certification. Allan holds a Bachelors degree in
Construction Management from California State University
Chico.

Angela Dean
Angela
Dean, AIA, LEED AP founded AMD Architecture, in 1997 with the
goal of providing quality architecture that is equally
responsible to her clients and the greater environment. Through
professional experience and community participation, she has
been dedicated to promoting all aspects of sustainable design
from programming and site planning to occupancy.
As the
author of the Green by Design: Creating a Home for
Sustainable Living, Angela shares the environmentally
responsible design principles she holds dear. Her goal,
professionally, is to make green building and healthy living
accessible for everyone. Emphasizing the notion that green is
not a menu of add-on options, but a design philosophy that
integrates aesthetics, budget, function, health, and enjoyment.
In addition to
the USGBC- Utah Chapter board, Angela serves on the board of the
Utah Society for Education and Salt Lake City's Planning
Commission.

Greg Schlegel
Greg is a professional engineer and LEED accredited
professional. He is an Energy Analyst currently employed by ETC
Group based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Greg’s worked in the
“sustainability” field since his interest in Solar Energy
directed his career in that direction back in 2001. He has been
involved with the local Chapter since moving to Utah in late
2004 and been instrumental in getting the Chapter where it is
today.

Ivan Weber
Ivan Weber,
LEED-AP.
Ivan
has decades of experience in environmentally responsible
facilities planning, design and management, forming a major
portion of his billion-dollars-plus construction/design
management experience base, augmented by synergistic non-profit
volunteer activities. Ivan is presently performing LEEDŽ
administrative services on several projects striving for LEEDŽ
certification such as an existing one million square foot
distribution center seeking ‘carbon neutral’ and LEED status,
and a fourteen building corporate campus pursuing LEED for
Existing Buildings certification throughout its building
portfolio.

Jim Rohbock
James A Rohbock is the managing partner of JSR
Services, LLC. Established in 2007, JSR Services is a building
envelope consulting firm which specializes in roofing and
waterproofing. With experience in the industry spanning over 30
years, James has a proven track record of developing,
implementing, and managing successful building envelope
solutions. For years, James has been an advocate for
sustainability, improving life cycle duration, and creating a
win-win situation for all with whom he works.

Robin Carbaugh
Robin
Carbaugh has 18 years of experience in urban and organizational
planning specializing in integrated land use planning, project
development, strategic analysis, urban design, and public
involvement programming. Her expertise includes developing plans
and policies to help communities attain long term urban planning
sustainability, through eco charrete process, transit oriented
development, healthy community design, public issues campaigns,
issues education, and grassroots constituency development.

Scott Schwendiman

Scott Schwendiman joined Kennecott Land in 2005 and has been
actively involved in commercial real estate for the last five
years. Scott's current role at Kennecott Land is
Commercial Development Manager. Scott is committed to
sustainable development and even serves on a national
sustainable development forum with NAIOP. His role within
Kennecott Land is critical to development within Daybreak.
His role encompasses many areas or responsibility and within
each of those areas Scott encourages his teams to meet and
exceed sustainable development initiatives set forth by Rio
Tinto and Kennecott Land Senior Management.

Tim Hofeins
Tim
Hofheins has worked in the HVAC and real estate industry
since 1980. A Utah native and LEED AP,
Tim
is a business development specialist for EME Mechanical
Contractors where he assists facilities managers with
HVAC solutions designed to reduce energy consumption,
increase building comfort, and reduce overall HVAC
owning and operating costs. Tim has successfully
designed and implemented energy and cost savings
solutions at industrial facilities, college campuses,
hospitals, and commercial buildings. When he’s not
working, Tim enjoys playing guitar, listening to jazz
music, spending time with his wife, and enjoying his
grandchildren.
